I'm seeing a lot more sites add pinterest buttons but until everyone else jumps on board the bookmarklet works ok!

Great post about Pinterest. I certainly got hooked from the first time I used it. I agree that a Pinterest button needs to be added to all sites to make it simpler to pin. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com

Hi Adam. Great post. I've been reading tons of articles on how great Pinterest is doing in the social scene and how they're helping businesses in their marketing strategies. I think that not many people know that there are so many plug in's for Pinterest. This list is a great compilation.

I haven't found a widget that will float around content, I imagine that it's because as widgets they're restricted to the widget area's of your theme.

I'd recommend starting your search by just looking for social plugins with floating functions, if you're looking for social bookmarking Digg Digg is a great plugin to start with.

Personally this isn't something I've tried, but I've done a bit of research and providing that your theme has a widget area where you want to put the banner then it should be straight forward.

First of all you'll need the Widget logic plugin -
http://wordpress.org/extend... (it's free) This will allow you to choose which pages you want certain widgets to appear on.

Then you can put the banner code directly into the widget area, but if you want more flexibility then you could use the AdRotate plugin - http://www.adrotateplugin.com/ (free to download).

This plugin will give you a custom widget, but I haven't used it in a while so I'm not sure if there is a limit to the amount of times you can use the custom widget (with some plugins there is a limit) However this plugin has some PHP code that you can use for inserting banner ads.
So if you do encounter a limit on how many times you can use the custom widget, or the custom widget just doesn't suit what you want to do then you can use download the executable php widget plugin -
http://wordpress.org/extend... (also free) - This provides you with a widget similar to the text/html widget but supports PHP code and can be used as many times as you like. On this site I'm currently using OIO Publisher which is a paid plugin but it is amazing for serving ads, so that might be an alternative (http://bestpluginsforwp.com....

For just basic banner serving AdRotate will work well though.

Hey Adam, thanks for your post! I really need a plugin that can show a banner only on a certain page that I mention. For instance, on page A, I want the first banner to be displayed, on page B - the 2nd banner, page C - 3rd banner and so on. Do you know which plugin can help me do that? I'd really appreciate it if you could help me with a piece of advice.

great job!! also check out tab slide. it allows you to slide your target content in and out of the visible page. you can use it in tandem with a lot of other plugins/widgets

As far as I know it is, I have seen it endorsed by a lot of other bloggers, and according to the Godaddy blog it was created by their in house team.

However you don't have to keep the plugin active, you can just activate it when you need to use it.
